PUBLIC TOURS

Do the tours run in bad weather?

Yes, our tours run in rain, snow or sun! Please make sure you have weather appropriate clothing and an umbrella in case you need it.

I am running late, now what?

Our tours start on time (remember this is Bath!).  You are strongly advised to be at the rendezvous point at least 15 minutes before the start of your walk.

Unfortunately, if you arrive at the meeting point and the group has already left, there is no way to contact the guide, in this instance you can email (info@bathpublicwalkingtours.co.uk) or call us and we will do our utmost to reschedule your tour for another day (however, please note, you have essentially purchased a timed reservation(s) and not a transferable ticket).

Are the tours wheelchair accessible?

All of our tours are wheelchair or mobility scooter accessible. If you are a wheelchair user, it would be a great help to let us know before your tour so that we can inform the guide to plan the route while incorporating your needs!

Where should I park my car?

If you are coming by car please leave plenty of time to park. Bath (including the approach roads into Bath from all directions) is often incredibly busy and we would hate for you to miss your tour due to parking problems. The nearest car parks to Abbey Churchyard are:

The Podium https://goo.gl/maps/FGozX6e4rkxAzGSR9

or Southgate https://maps.app.goo.gl/bfb2Vcjxt9Sy9vGD8

Do we go inside the museums/sights?

These are city walking tours so we prioritise showing you the sights that are in open-air and so no internal visit are included.

What is your cancellation policy?

100% of fees will be refunded if the tour is cancelled 6 days or more before your tour. 50% of the fee will be refunded if tour is cancelled within 5 days of your tour and no refund will be payable if the tour is cancelled within 24 hours of the agreed start time.  If a walk+Roman Baths combination ticket has been purchased, normally it is only the walk element which is refundable (as above).

What languages do you offer?

Our public tours are all offered in English.

Where do the tours begin?

Our public tours begin and end in Abbey Churchyard in front of Bath Abbey and the entrance to the Roman Baths Museum. Look for our guide and our feather banner/blue and white flag:

I am at the meeting point but I cannot see the guide?

The guide will in the centre of Abbey Churchyard. They will be wearing a blue Institute of Tourist Guiding lanyard and their Blue Badge.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are always welcome so long as their owners are well behaved!
